Last Minute Mother's Day Craft - Honey-Sea Salt Hand Scrub
It’s Mother’s Day again! Struggling to find something that moms will actually find useful? Tired of the same old “cutesy crafts?” On a tight budget? Read on to see how to make this scrumptious and luxurious feeling hand scrub with your classroom. This mixture will leave hands feeling so silky-smooth that you might even want to keep some for yourself! Honey is naturally antibacterial, and it’s actually good for slowing down aging and wrinkles, as it’s full of antioxidants! What’s not to love, moms? Additionally, coarse sea salt does an excellent job of sloughing off dead skin cells, leaving hands with a moisturized glow! Give your classroom moms a gift they’ll appreciate and enjoy.
What You Need:
1.5 cups coarse salt
1/4 cup melted coconut oil
1/4 cup olive oil
1 tbsp melted honey (heat honey in a microwave safe dish for 5 seconds at a time until loose consistency)
5-6 drops of essential oil (optional)
Add the salt and oils (optional) to a bowl and mix well. Next add in the olive and coconut oil, and honey. Stir well and scoop into sealable containers like mini mason jars. Use within 2 weeks.
To use, gently rub all over hands and wrists for one minute. Rinse with warm water. Enjoy!
